How to Give

Unrestricted Giving

While every gift that the LSU Libraries receives is vitally important to providing needed materials, there is no higher compliment to our stewardship than an unrestricted gift. Our needs vary greatly from year to year, and there is no one in a better position to make those choices than our faculty and staff. Unrestricted gifts allow them the flexibility of meeting the greatest current needs.

Memorial/ Honorarium Giving

The LSU Libraries would like to encourage its many supporters to remember the needs of the organization in times of memorial or special occasion giving. What better way to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, the birth of a child, or a graduation, than to give the gift that keeps giving all year. The acknowledgment of your donation will be made promptly to the person or family you are remembering.

Naming Opportunities

A few, select major-gift naming opportunities are part of our capital campaign and major donors will be recognized through permanent signage prominently displayed in association with their gifts.

Planned Giving

The LSU Foundation has an excellent site for education about planning your legacy gift to Louisiana State University.

Benefactor's Society

Tax-deductible contributions of $100 or more annually will entitle you to a complimentary membership in the Libraries' Benefactor's Society.
