As part of LSU Libraries' effort to prevent the transmission of COVID-19, we are allowing students to reserve Presentation Practice rooms only. Individual study spaces on the 4th floor are available for students to use while attending class remotely.

Individual Study Spaces

All individual study spaces are equipped with a desk, a reading lamp, and an electrical outlet.

At the request of the Registrar’s Office, the individual study spaces on the second and fourth floors have been set aside as part of the quiet spaces available on campus for students who need to attend a virtual class. These students therefore have the first priority to occupy these spaces between the hours of 7:30 to 4:30 on weekdays. They are available to other students on a first-come, first served basis at the other times that the library is open. It is not necessary to make a reservation to use these spaces at this time. For more information about the quiet spaces on campus, see https://www.lsu.edu/roadmap/academics/index.php.

Study Carrels

Study carrels can be reserved for a semester by faculty and graduate students. A $5.00 refundable deposit is required. However, study carrels are always in high demand and current applicants will be placed on a waitlist.
