KFGC broadcasts the election of governor Hewitt Bouanchaud, who ran against Henry Fuqua and Huey P. Long. As Dr. D.V. Guthrie recounted, "We had no telephone connection with the local newspaper then, so we had to get the election returns by sending couriers back and forth to the bulletin board in front of the newspaper office where the returns were posted."
