Kerry Pourciau
Kerry Louis Pourciau was the first African American to be elected president of the LSU Student Government Association (1972). He later held positions with U.S. Senator Russell Long and New Orleans Mayor Ernest N. Morial. He was economic development director for the City of Baton Rouge and worked in public relations for Gulf States Utilities and the Louisiana Lottery Corporation. Pourciau passed away in 1994.
