Lora Hinton
Lora Hinton was born in Norfolk, Virginia, on September 29, 1953. Hinton became the first African American awarded a football scholarship at LSU in 1971 when he enrolled at LSU. He started at running back for the Tigers from 1973 to 1975. Hinton still lives and works in Baton Rouge as a regional representative for a national food outlet, and has served as a marshal at LSU football games for nineteen years.
