And of course we played up in the nineteen . . . Well, you’d have to say . . . on one January 1936, the second Sugar Bowl game. Then we played Santa Clara [University] again in the 1937 Sugar Bowl game, so we lost both games. And a little irony of it, today, they go down a week or ten days in advance. Well, the day of the Sugar Bowl games we got on the train, back of the old . . . back of Tiger Stadium, had our pregame meal on the train and went straight to the stadium, played the ball game. I played sixty minutes in that one. And it raining so hard in the old Tulane stadium the ball would almost float.
