Melisse Campbell: Since you didn’t participate in a sport, what were sporting events like at LSU at that time?
Sheryl Campbell: Unbelievable. You know, just as it is today, if you’ve never heard that roar in Tiger Stadium on a Saturday night, you know you’ve really missed it. There was lots of excitement, lots of energy. When you went to the football game, the stadium was just charged. I mean, it was wired. You almost felt like it was moving. And there was like a whistle that just went round and round the stadium, more I guess, of like a roar. Lots of excitement.
