Yes, we can borrow materials (https://www.lib.lsu.edu/services/ill) from other libraries for you. Create an interlibrary loan (ILL) account to begin borrowing materials. Once in your account, choose the type of item you want from the left menu, complete the form, and submit the request. Scans usually arrive in 24-48 hours. Books arrive in about 1-2 weeks. Generally, the Advanced Search (https://eds.s.ebscohost.com/eds/search/advanced?vid=0&sid=5a98e023-764c…) option in Discovery will help if you have something like title, subject, keyword, author, DOI, or date. LSU Library can only accept one form of ID as a patron's library card depending on their user status: - Current LSU faculty, staff, and students must use their TigerCard - Public patrons should use their state-issued ID (such as their drivers license) To check out books and other items, please present your TigerCard or state ID at the checkout desk in room 241 or use the self-checkout machine in room 141. An appointment is not required. Please feel free to walk in during our open hours: https://lib.lsu.edu/hoursandmaps (https://lib.lsu.edu/hoursandmaps) . However, keep in mind that materials may not be readily available on the day that you come to do your research because some materials must be retrieved from an off-site storage facility, requiring at least 48 business hours of advanced notice.
