Building and improving the accuracy of a researcher’s scholarly identity can increase a researcher’s impact. The following are ways we can assist faculty with maintaining their academic identities:

• ORCiD: A complete and accurate ORCiD record facilitates grant writing and disambiguates researchers with similar names. LSU Libraries can import article records for faculty.
• Google Scholar: The Libraries can audit public Google Scholar profiles for accuracy and assist with remediation.
• Scopus: The Libraries can connect a researcher’s ORCiD profile to their Scopus author profile.

We can also audit faculty author profiles. An audit can differentiate you from other researchers with similar names, allow you to accurately demonstrate your impact for professional advancement, and help you to build a professional network. We can help set up profiles and streamline the process of maintaining them. We can also identify and merge duplicate profiles. We will evaluate common author profiles (e.g., ORCiD, Scopus, Google Scholar, etc.).​

This service is available to faculty and researchers at Louisiana State University and the LSU AgCenter. Complete the audit request, and we will contact you with our findings in approximately 2 weeks.​
