Official papers consist of duplicate certificates of deposit of United States moneys obtained from the sales of ships, tackle, cargo, and other goods condemned as prizes of war by the admiralty proceedings in the District Court during the Civil War; receipts for bank deposits as the result of such sales; and 14 original deposit certificates of the Assistant to the United States Treasurer at New Orleans.
