Letters, documents, and photographs illustrating the history of the Confederate submarine 'Hunley,' designed by James McClintock and Baxter Watson, financed by Horace L. Hunley, and built in Mobile, Alabama, in 1863. Included is information about an earlier submarine built in New Orleans in 1861-1862 by Hunley and McClintock.
