Grand Isle Hotel. Account books, 1879-1898. 7 items, 4 vols. Location: Misc:G, G:6. Hotel in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, and probably owned by John F. Kranz, the president of the Crescent City Ice Company of New Orleans. Collection includes a cashbook, a ledger, a guest register, bills, and receipts of the hotel. The cashbook of Kranz contains accounts with fishing boats (or 'smacks') and fish dealers, and related accounts of expenses for fishing gear, bait, and ice.
