This collection consists of 16 unsigned manuscript sermons, each sewn individually at the spine, probably from the first half of the 19th century. They comment on both Old and New Testament texts and include ones on the biblical injunction for wives to submit to their husbands and the place of elders in the church. Other writings include five small groups of questions on the nature of God and Christ followed by answers challenging Socinian arguments. Other manuscripts concern the basics of syllogism and desirable human attributes. A handwritten poem, "The Dying Saint," and a Presbyterian tract, "Sin Our Enemy and God Our Friend," are also included. Mss. 4087.
