ARTstor travel awards available to LSU faculty & graduate students

ARTstor, one of the over 300 databases that LSU Libraries subscribes to, is offering faculty and graduate students at LSU and other universities with ARTstor subscriptions the chance to receive a research travel award.  Each of the five ARTstor Travel Awards are $1,500 that can be used anytime before September 1, 2011.  The awards are intended to "help support the educational and scholarly activities of graduate students, scholars, curators, educators, and librarians in any field in the arts, architecture, humanities, and social sciences."

To apply for an ARTstor Travel Award create an image group in ARTstor and a complementary essay that demonstrates how the image group is useful for teaching, research or scholarship. The winners will be determined by ARTstor staff.

For more information view the online application.

The deadline for ARTstor Travel Award applications is April 1, 2010.  Winners will be announced May 1, 2010 and the awards will be distributed June 1, 2010.
