The LSU Libraries reference librarians now offer help by text. Text (225) 308-1733 during regular reference hours, and the librarians will reply by a text from that same number. The SMS reference service is ideal for simple questions that require brief answers. For in-depth questions, see Ask a Librarian or visit the Reference Desk in Middleton Library. Off hours text messages will be responded to as soon as staff is available to answer them.
Reference librarians are also available in person, by telephone, and by email.
The LSU Libraries includes the LSU Library and the adjacent Hill Memorial Library. Together, the libraries contain more than 4 million volumes and provide additional resources such as expert staff, technology, services, electronic resources, and facilities that advance research, teaching, and learning across every discipline.
