LSU Libraries employee receives scholarship

LSU Libraries employee Jordan Signater is recipient of the 2011 Ollie Burns Scholarship.

Jordan is from Morganza, Louisiana, and began working in the LSU Libraries as a student worker in 2002. Upon graduating in 2007, he became a full time staff member in the Circulation Department, and is now also a graduate student in the School of Library and Information Science (SLIS).

The Ollie Burns scholarship is awarded by the Admissions, Scholarship, and Recruitment committee of the School of Library and Information Science, and it is in honor Ollie H. Burns, the first African American to graduate from the School of Library and Information Science, in 1957.

Congratulations Jordan!

The LSU Libraries includes the LSU Library and the adjacent Hill Memorial Library.
