iPads available to check out

Thanks to the generous support of LSU Student Government, ten iPads have been purchased and added to the electronic items available through the Gear to Geaux program for LSU students. Starting today (February 1), the tablets will be available at the Middleton Library circulation desk, for a seven-day circulation period. ipads

The tablets come loaded with the apps most popular with users, including YouTube, Find iPhone, OneNote, Adobe Photoshop Express, Pandora Radio, Netflix, Kindle, Nook, Adobe Reader, Google Earth, Gmail, Chrome, Facebook, Twitter, and Skype. The devices also have library apps for EBSCOhost, ScienceDirect, and OECD Factbook, among others. A complete list of pre-loaded apps will be included in the information given at checkout. Students may also want to search GROK for upcoming articles on the tablets and their use.

The LSU Libraries includes the LSU Library and the adjacent Hill Memorial Library. Together, the libraries contain more than 4 million volumes and provide additional resources such as expert staff, technology, services, electronic resources, and facilities that advance research, teaching, and learning across every discipline.
