LSU Libraries welcomes Andrea Hebert to our faculty. Andrea has been hired as a reference librarian in Middleton Library.

Andrea brings with her a broad range of experience in teaching and editing. Before coming to LSU, Andrea worked as an elementary school librarian in EBR parish schools, and before that, she spent seven and a half years working at LSU for the Continuing Education Independent & Distance Learning program, first as an Editor, and then as a Coordinator. She has also worked as a medical copyeditor, and as a Latin teacher in middle and high school in Farmville, Virginia.

Having already worked at LSU, she knows that it is a great place to work. “The campus is beautiful, the people are friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxed,” she writes.

Andrea has attended conferences hosted by the Louisiana Library Association and the American Library Association, and she looks forward to sharing her enthusiasm for library and information literacy with LSU students and other library patrons.

In her spare time, Andrea enjoys traveling, films, and running. In fact, she ran the 2010 Houston Marathon while she was earning her MLIS (at LSU) and working full time!

Welcome Andrea!

The LSU Libraries includes the LSU Library and the adjacent Hill Memorial Library. Together, the libraries contain more than 4 million volumes and provide additional resources such as expert staff, technology, services, electronic resources, and facilities that advance research, teaching, and learning across every discipline.
