LSU Libraries takes part in 2013 Spring Invitational Information Fair

On Wednesday, April 10, LSU Libraries participated in the 2013 Spring Invitational Information Fair hosted by the LSU Office of Orientation in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.  Forty-nine departments from campus, including LSU Libraries, were represented at information tables where 1,300 prospective students and 800 parents gathered information about the programs and services offered on the LSU campus.

LSU librarians Elaine Smyth (Interim Dean), Tara Laver (Interim Head of Special of Collections), Jennifer Mitchell (Head of Manuscripts Processing), and Mitch Fontenot (Outreach Librarian) spoke to students and their parents about the LSU Libraries and distributed information to the participants.

The LSU Libraries includes the LSU Library and the adjacent Hill Memorial Library. Together, the libraries contain more than 4 million volumes and provide additional resources such as expert staff, technology, services, electronic resources, and facilities that advance research, teaching, and learning across every discipline.
