ARTstor travel grants available to LSU faculty and students

ARTstor, one of the many resources that LSU Libraries subscribes to, is offering faculty and students at LSU and other universities with ARTstor subscriptions the chance to receive a research travel award. Each of the five ARTstor $1500 Travel Awards will help support travel-related educational and scholarly activities. This is the first year undergraduate students are invited to apply!

To apply for an ARTstor Travel Award create an image group in ARTstor and a complementary essay that demonstrates how the image group is useful for teaching, research or scholarship. The winners will be determined by ARTstor staff. This year's theme is "cities."

For more information view the online application. To read essays from previous winners (including LSU Libraries Assistant Dean Lois Kuyper-Rushing), visit http://www.artstor.org/news/n-html/travel-awards.shtml.

The deadline for ARTstor Travel Award applications is May 17, 2013.

If you need help with using ARTstor, stop by the reference desk in Middleton Library.

The LSU Libraries includes the LSU Library and the adjacent Hill Memorial Library. Together, the libraries contain more than 4 million volumes and provide additional resources such as expert staff, technology, services, electronic resources, and facilities that advance research, teaching, and learning across every discipline.
