LSU Libraries representatives meet with RAs

On Monday, August 12th, Emily Frank, Instructional Technologies and Engineering Librarian, and Mitch Fontenot, Outreach Librarian, met and presented to 210 LSU Resident Assistants in Broussard Hall through the RA Resource Fair.  Under the theme “The Amazing Race,” this information fair made Resident Assistants aware of the many services available to them and their residents throughout the school year. Representatives from other campus entities, such as Career Services, the University Recreation Center, First Year Experience, and Student Health Center, were available to talk to the Resident Assistants and distribute information.  On behalf of LSU Libraries, Mitch and Emily met RAs, promoted the upcoming Meet Your Librarian Day on September 4, and provided information about LIS 1001, electronic resources, and Special Collections.

The LSU Libraries includes the LSU Library and the adjacent Hill Memorial Library. Together, the libraries contain more than 4 million volumes and provide additional resources such as expert staff, technology, services, electronic resources, and facilities that advance research, teaching, and learning across every discipline.
