LSU Librarians meet with new international students
On January 8 at the International Cultural Center, Emily Frank, Instructional Technology & Engineering Librarian, and Mitch Fontenot, Instruction & Outreach Librarian, met with 40 new international students who are beginning their studies at LSU this spring as part of their campus orientation. Along with other entities on campus, Frank and Fontenot spoke to the new students about library services and provided them with information about LSU Libraries. The students were especially interested in learning that, for their various courses of study, there is a subject librarian who can assist them with their specialized research needs. The LSU Libraries would like to welcome our newest international students to LSU.
The LSU Libraries includes the LSU Library and the adjacent Hill Memorial Library. Together, the libraries contain more than 4 million volumes and provide additional resources such as expert staff, technology, services, electronic resources, and facilities that advance research, teaching, and learning across every discipline.
