LSU Libraries to host an open house

On Wednesday, February 5, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., LSU Libraries will host an open house in Middleton Library.  At this event, students will be able to learn some new things about LSU Libraries’ resources and services and have fun while doing so.  Booths will be stationed throughout Middleton Library representing various aspects of the LSU Libraries, including Hill Memorial Library, the Cartographic Information Center, and the Veterinary Medicine Library, as well as having representatives from LOUIS (The Louisiana Library Network), the Center for Academic Success, Information Technology Services, and the Law Center Library.

The open house will feature games, activities, prizes, and food.  This is a Mardi Gras-themed event, and king cake and coffee will be available, provided by LSU Dining.  Participants will have the opportunity to win several door prizes, including a NOOK HD 7” Tablet (donated by EBSCO Information Services), a Raising Cane’s gift basket, and an iPod Shuffle.  There will even be live music performances in the Music Resources Center on Middleton’s 2nd floor.

So please come by and visit during the open house—you can have some king cake and coffee, participate in the activities to win a prize, and just pass a great time with us at LSU Libraries!

The LSU Libraries includes the LSU Library and the adjacent Hill Memorial Library. Together, the libraries contain more than 4 million volumes and provide additional resources such as expert staff, technology, services, electronic resources, and facilities that advance research, teaching, and learning across every discipline.
