LSU Libraries connect with the community at recent events

The Friends of the LSU Libraries Book Bazaar was held March 20th through March 22nd on the LSU campus at the 4-H Mini Farm Building. Thousands of buyers visited over the three days to purchase used books, sets, collectors’ items, and more.  For the first time, LSU Libraries had an information table at the Bazaar, at which the Libraries’ services were described to the public and over 800 contacts were made.

On March 28, eighteen students in the Senior Advanced Placement class at Live Oak High School in Watson visited Middleton Library.  They received a tour of the library and a presentation on LSU Libraries’ scholarly databases, which many of the students will be using when they begin their work as LSU students in the fall.

The LSU Libraries includes the LSU Library and the adjacent Hill Memorial Library. Together, the libraries contain more than 4 million volumes and provide additional resources such as expert staff, technology, services, electronic resources, and facilities that advance research, teaching, and learning across every discipline.
