LSU Libraries welcomes Dave Comeaux

Dave Comeaux has joined the LSU Libraries as Web Development Librarian. Dave brings extensive knowledge of web development technologies, user-centered design, and instructional design to his new position. Dave has over ten years’ experience working on corporate web and intranet sites, as well as multimedia presentations and online instruction. He also has over four years of experience in academic libraries, having served as Web Services Librarian at Tulane University from 2009 to 2013. Comeaux’s job primarily involves oversight of the Libraries’ websites, including the planning of new features and design enhancements and assessment of web services.  A passionate advocate for user-centered design, Comeaux has directed numerous web assessment activities, including usability testing, focus groups, surveys, and analytics assessment. He is eager to engage with the LSU community in improving the Libraries’ websites. Comeaux is a native of Pierre Part, a small community in Assumption Parish. He is excited to be serving the state’s flagship university and being close to friends and family.  Dave is also a diehard New Orleans Saints and LSU Tigers fan, a supporter of SEC football, and a fitness enthusiast.

The LSU Libraries includes the LSU Library and the adjacent Hill Memorial Library. Together, the libraries contain more than 4 million volumes and provide additional resources such as expert staff, technology, services, electronic resources, and facilities that advance research, teaching, and learning across every discipline.
