Braunstein elected to national assembly

At this summer’s American Library Association (ALA) Annual Conference, LSU Librarian and Louisiana Library Association’s Councilor to the ALA, Stephanie Braunstein was elected to a two-year term on the ALA Planning and Budget Assembly. The charge of this Assembly is to assist the ALA Executive Board and the ALA Budget Analysis and Review Committee in their oversight of the fiscal impacts of ALA activities.

The LSU Libraries includes the LSU Library and the adjacent Hill Memorial Library. Together, the libraries contain more than 4 million volumes and provide additional resources such as expert staff, technology, services, electronic resources, and facilities that advance research, teaching, and learning across every discipline.
