An LSU Libraries open house: "It Came from the Library!"

OpenHousePoster_WEBLSU Libraries will host “It Came from the Library!”, an open house in Middleton Library on Wednesday, October 29th, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  All students, faculty, and staff are invited to attend.  Information stations will be set up throughout Middleton Library representing various aspects of the LSU Libraries, including Special Collections, the T. Harry Williams Center for Oral History, and the Veterinary Medicine Library, as well as having representatives from LOUIS (The Louisiana Library Network), the Center for Academic Success, Information Technology Services, the Law Center Library, and LSU Discover.

The open house will feature games, activities, prizes, and food (including cupcakes and cookies).  The first 150 attendees will receive small prize bags and candy.  This is a Halloween-themed event, and attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite Halloween costume. Participants will have the opportunity to win several door prizes, including an iPad, iPad mini, and a Kindle Fire HD.  Even Mike the Tiger will be stopping by to join the fun!

So please come by and visit during the LSU Libraries open house—you can have some free treats, participate in the activities to win a prize, and just have a scary good time with us!

The LSU Libraries includes the LSU Library and the adjacent Hill Memorial Library. Together, the libraries contain more than 4 million volumes and provide additional resources such as expert staff, technology, services, electronic resources, and facilities that advance research, teaching, and learning across every discipline.
