Exhibit opening and reception: Cooperative Extention at LSU

LSU Libraries celebrated the opening of Cooperative Extension at LSU: Commemorating the Centennial of the Smith-Lever Act of 1914 on Thursday, October 16 from 5:30-7:30 pm in Hill Memorial Library.

A brief program took place at 6 p.m., featuring comments from Provost Stuart Bell, Dr. Gina Eubanks, Vice Chancellor for Extension at Southern University AgCenter and Associate Vice Chancellor for Food and Nutrition Programs for the LSU AgCenter, as well as a brief introduction to the exhibition by Cristina Caminita, LSU Libraries liaison to the College of Agriculture and chief curator of the exhibition.

The LSU Libraries includes the LSU Library and the adjacent Hill Memorial Library. Together, the libraries contain more than 4 million volumes and provide additional resources such as expert staff, technology, services, electronic resources, and facilities that advance research, teaching, and learning across every discipline.
