Libraries construction update: Feb. 4

empty shelves third floorStarting today, February 4, the numerous empty metal shelves on the third floor of Middleton Library will be dismantled. Students should expect some noise as we make way for new construction. The fourth floor and the Music Resources Center on the second floor will not be directly affected by the projects, and will have some of the quietest study spots during noisy times.

The Peabody Hall math lab is relocating to Middleton Library, which will make it more centrally located and available to the more than 5000 students who use it each year.

Announcements and updates about the ongoing disruptions will be available at news.blogs.lib.lsu.edu/tag/2016_construction/ and on the Libraries Facebook and Twitter accounts.

The LSU Libraries includes the LSU Library and the adjacent Hill Memorial Library. Together, the libraries contain more than 4 million volumes and provide additional resources such as expert staff, technology, services, electronic resources, and facilities that advance research, teaching, and learning across every discipline.
