Feb. 26: Introduction to Text Mining Workshop

Charles Pence, Assistant Professor of Philosophy at LSU, will give a workshop introducing text mining on February 26, 2016,  from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., in Middleton Library 295.

The talk is part of a series hosted by the Digital Scholarship Lab (DSL) will about digital humanities, an interdisciplinary field that merges traditional humanities research and teaching with new media, technologies, and computational methods. The workshops are open to students and faculty, and will be particularly of interest to graduate students.

The LSU Libraries includes the LSU Library and the adjacent Hill Memorial Library. Together, the libraries contain more than 4 million volumes and provide additional resources such as expert staff, technology, services, electronic resources, and facilities that advance research, teaching, and learning across every discipline.
