Construction update: Math lab opens in Middleton Library

Students in Math 1021, 1022, and 1023 are now able to do their required lab hours in rooms 300X and 300Y Middleton Library, in the newly-opened math lab on the third floor. Formerly located in Pleasant Hall, the math lab's new location makes it more centrally located and available to the more than 5000 students who take the three respective math courses each year.

Construction continues on the second floor of Middleton Library for the new Access Services (Circulation and InterLibrary Loan) space. Gypsum board has gone up, and electrical and HVAC work is  progressing. Mill-work installation is starting for the service counter. The plan is to do a large amount of the mill-work in the space due to its size and location, so this will mean some noise.

The LSU Libraries includes the LSU Library and the adjacent Hill Memorial Library. Together, the libraries contain more than 4 million volumes and provide additional resources such as expert staff, technology, services, electronic resources, and facilities that advance research, teaching, and learning across every discipline.
