Marty Miller awarded grant from The Metropolitan Center for Eastern Art Studies

Marty Miller

LSU Libraries has received $5,000 from The Metropolitan Center for Eastern Art Studies' Library Grant Program for new books to be added to its collection.

Art and Design Librarian Marty Miller submitted a formal proposal, along with a list of new publications and books that will fill in gaps in the library's book collection, such as Asian art trends and artists. Miller, together with assistant professor of art William Ma, looked at current holdings and topical areas that need developing as they compiled the list of titles.

The Center considers books and other research materials essential to the advancement of knowledge and they give high priority to funding large research libraries like LSU Libraries.

The LSU Libraries includes the LSU Library and the adjacent Hill Memorial Library. Together, the libraries contain more than 4 million volumes and provide additional resources such as expert staff, technology, services, electronic resources, and facilities that advance research, teaching, and learning across every discipline.
