The Haunting of Hill... Memorial Library

Should you find yourself in need of an (antiquarian) fright, a (haunting) delight, or maybe just want a historical dip into the occult and supernatural, be sure to check out the Halloween display on the first floor exhibition space in Hill Memorial Library. The Special Collections staff has culled our stacks for some seasonal treats, including a sampling New Orleans noir, ‘scientific’ investigations of monsters, always-creepy (but well-rendered) bats, and some seriously freaky dolls. Come for the historical survey of witchcraft, stay for the unsettling gaze of children’s playthings!

The display will be up through Friday, November 2, 2018.

The LSU Libraries includes the LSU Library and the adjacent Hill Memorial Library. Together, the libraries contain more than 4 million volumes and provide additional resources such as expert staff, technology, services, electronic resources, and facilities that advance research, teaching, and learning across every discipline.
