Charles Garbush recently retired from LSU Libraries after almost 37 years of service. Garbush worked for Access Services by distributing mail throughout the Libraries. He was hired by LSU Libraries in 1981 in the Circulation Department and began working in Distributions delivering the Libraries’ mail in 1983.

“Charles has been the epitome of dependability and consistency,” says Jason Juneau, Garbush's immediate supervisor. Because he delivered mail to departments inside the Libraries as well as other units, he became a well-known personality all over campus. In 2014 he was named the first recipient of the LSU Libraries Staff Career Award.

“Charles will be greatly missed by all of the library staff," says Elissa Plank, head of circulation. LSU Libraries thanks Garbush for all of his hard work and dedication to the Libraries over his 37 years of service.
