The LSU Libraries will host a viewing of the famed folio edition of John James Audubon’s Birds of America on Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Audubon Day events are free and the public is welcome. However, reservations are required as we can only accommodate up to 45 people for each of the one-hour viewings of the Audubon volumes. Visit our website to place a reservation: https://www.lib.lsu.edu/special/audubon.
In addition to the viewings, there will be lagniappe, including exhibitions, a kids' coloring table, representatives from a number of local organizations, and birds from the LSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital's rehabilitated resident raptors program. This is a unique, fun, and memorable event for all ages.
Parking is available in the Indian Mounds lot, directly behind Hill Memorial Library, and in the Peabody lot adjacent to the library.
