LSU Libraries joins the OCLC Research Library Partnership

LSU Libraries is a new member of the  OCLC Research Library Partnership (RLP), a collaborative venue for research libraries that benefits scholars and researchers everywhere through significant, innovative, and collective action. The affiliated institutions, from 12 countries, collectively identify, analyze, prioritize, and brainstorm solutions to shared challenges. RLP highlights the leadership and goals provided by innovative libraries. Dean of LSU Libraries Stanley Wilder believes that collaborating with other RLP members will enable LSU Libraries to be even more creative and innovative.  RFP areas of research includes the data life-cycle,  open access, information management and more.

Along with LSU Libraries, the University of Nevada, Reno and Virginia Tech have recently joined the partnership.

The LSU Libraries includes the LSU Library and the adjacent Hill Memorial Library. Together, the libraries contain more than 4 million volumes and provide additional resources such as expert staff, technology, services, electronic resources, and facilities that advance research, teaching, and learning across every discipline.
