Music in Middleton will present its third season opener on Monday, Sept. 23 at noon in the first floor lobby of Middleton Library. The concert will include works by Wagner Duarte, Johann Sebastian Bach, and improvisations by several performers. This season the Music in Middleton audience may expect some innovative and cutting-edge projects, such as the Bach Marathon project. Musicians will be placed in various locations throughout the library, while playing compositions simultaneously. Additionally, an instrumental petting zoo project, where the audience gets the opportunity to try out instruments and perform with the artists. Music in Middleton is also reaching beyond the library walls, performing in the Arts & Design building among other venues. The season opener offers a varied repertoire featuring music composed now and music composed then, creating a bridge between the past and present. The very diverse crew of performers adds a unique flavor to the performance series. Performers will include Adalus Low Manzini, Riclebio de Souza Pedro, Alonso Restrepo, Raudol Palacios, cello; Daniel Torress, Soyeon Rachel Seo, Mahakit Lerdcheewanan and Alba Layana, violin; Wagner Duarte pandeiro.
