Elisa Naquin has accepted a new role at LSU Libraries as the Metadata and Digital Strategies Librarian. In her role, Naquin will manage metadata for LSU's digital collections and the Louisiana Digital Library (LDL), providing guidance, documentation, and training for the LSU Libraries and LDL partners. She will also participate in the development of best practices for the Libraries' digital object cataloging. Naquin states she finds it meaningful to play a role in making the state's digital cultural heritage and history available to all through the work she will be doing and she hopes to explore the potential for inclusive metadata practices in the LSU's digital collections.

Prior to transitioning into her current position, Naquin worked at LSU Libraries as a cataloging librarian for three years and as a legislative research librarian and cataloger at the David R. Poynter Legislative Research Library for three and a half years.

Naquin is a lifelong Louisiana resident, originally from Morse, LA who earned her bachelor's and two master's degrees from LSU. In her free time, she enjoys planning and going on vacations, reading fiction, playing the flute, and spending time with her husband and son outdoors.
