E-Delivery of print articles and book chapters from LSU Library now available

The LSU Libraries' document delivery service launched on Monday, May 4th.  A limited number of library staff members have access to LSU Library to scan journal articles and book chapters from the print collection for delivery by email. LSU faculty members, staff, and students can place requests by locating articles or book chapters using the “Discovery” search on the Libraries’ homepage. If the material is not already available in digital format, clicking “Request Through Interlibrary Loan” will initiate a request for a scanned version. Requests can also be placed directly from one's Interlibrary Loan account. Library staff will scan and deliver the material by email in one to two business days.

The LSU Emergency Operations Center worked closely with the Libraries on this service to ensure the safety of our employees.  Appropriate measures such as personal protective equipment, physical distancing, and sanitizing the workstations are part of the procedures.

For questions or more information, visit the LSU Libraries interlibrary loan and delivery services webpage or email libilb@lsu.edu.

The LSU Libraries includes the LSU Library and the adjacent Hill Memorial Library. Together, the libraries contain more than 4 million volumes and provide additional resources such as expert staff, technology, services, electronic resources, and facilities that advance research, teaching, and learning across every discipline.
