LSU Libraries adds workshop and how-to playlists to YouTube channel

Photo of students at computersLSU Libraries' Research and Instruction (RIS) unit is now hosting their individual instruction and group workshops virtually. Andrea Hebert, Human Sciences, Education, and Distance Learning Librarian, and Brittany O'Neill, Humanities & Social Sciences Librarian, have posted two public playlists that feature workshops and how-to videos onto LSU Libraries YouTube Channel.

The "Workshops" playlist houses recordings of LSU Libraries workshops for students and faculty on topics such as literature reviews and news research. In addition to the recordings, upcoming workshops are available on our Events & Programming webpage.

The "How-to LSU Libraries" playlist features instructional how-to videos on finding a librarian for a specific subject matter, requesting an item for pickup or through interlibrary loan, and setting up your Google Scholar account to show LSU Libraries resources.

In addition to these videos, RIS still provides direct academic support virtually by encouraging students to schedule research consultations with their subject's liaison librarian and/or submit a question by completing the Libraries' Ask Us form. These efforts by RIS are only a part of the Libraries' ongoing effort to continue to support students in their research and learning in spite of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Read more about how we also are continuing to support faculty, host exhibitions in LSU Libraries Special Collections, and generally adhere to health and sanitation standards for those who visit the Libraries this fall semester.

The LSU Libraries includes the LSU Library and the adjacent Hill Memorial Library. Together, the libraries contain more than 4 million volumes and provide additional resources such as expert staff, technology, services, electronic resources, and facilities that advance research, teaching, and learning across every discipline.
