Anonymous military diary, 1796. 1 diary. Location: 31:. A partially filled military diary from an unknown author that recounts the daily activities undertaken from September 1, 1796 through September 14, 1796.  The author is presumably of advanced rank or importance based on their recounting of interactions with various Lords, Ladies, and Generals, and a daily naming of different locations for dining and housing.  Several pages at the end of the notebook contain notes on the commanders from Kent and Sussex, the range of various muskets and artillery, and the location of various groups from Norfolk, Suffolk, and Essex. Part of the George DeForest Collection, vol. 3. Mss. 1350.
