Letters from Stuyvesant Fish requesting that Blakely's organization sponsor the subscription drive to purchase a silver service to be presented to the cruiser U.S.S. New Orleans by the people of New Orleans. Included is a letter from Captain William Folger, U.S. Navy commander of the NewOrleans, suggesting types of services that might be purchased.
