Hennen, Alfred. Papers, 1832-1866. 13 items. Misc.:H. Alfred Hennen was a prominent lawyer and judge in St. Tammany Parish, La.  Papers consist of letters from Hennen to his wife, Ann Maria Hennen, relaying news of the family, as well as five olographic wills of Alfred and Ann Maria Hennen (1832-1851).  The wills stipulate not only their inheritors, but also the conditions under which their slaves are freed, including whether the freed slaves wish to stay in the U.S. or go to Liberia.  Mss. 5220.
