Kilbourne, Lillian. Papers, 1880-1903 (bulk 1880-1894). 0.5 linear ft., 1 volume. Location: T:29. Daughter of James Gilliam and Almena Leonora Perkins Kilbourne. She attended Goucher College and Johns Hopkins, and taught at Silliman Female Collegiate Institute, Clinton, Louisiana; and married Eldridge Smith of Mississippi. The collection consists primarily of personal letters Kilbourne received when she was teaching in Clinton and Bayou Sara, Louisiana. Correspondents are relatives and friends from Clinton, Wilson, and Bayou Sara.
