Lafargue collection, 1851-1956. 3 items. Location: Misc. The Lafargue Collection consists of a commission from Governor Joseph Walker appointing Adolphe Lafargue as Superintendent of Public Schools of Avoyelles Parish, La. (1851); a transfer of title from Zéphérine De Zoriche to her son, Adolphe Lafargue, made in 1877 in Marksville, La., with a cover letter from Mrs. A.J. Lafargue to Mr. A. Irion Lafargue in 1956; and a letter from A.B. Irion of Eola, La., to P. Esmond Irion of Baton Rouge, La., declining to help a man who claims to be a relative (1883).
