A woman probably named Anna writes from Fayetteville, N.C., to her friend, Miss Rebecca Tillinghast, in Philadelphia, Pa., describing part of a trip with her uncle from Philadelphia to Savannah via Baltimore, Norfolk, and Fayetteville. She describes ship travel, the funeral of a cholera victim in Baltimore, and the poverty of rural Virginia. Mss. 4097.
