The Freeport Sulphur Co., established in 1912, founded the town of Port Sulphur, La. in 1933 to establish a base for its mining operations. Rod M. Lincoln was the supervisor of Training and Development. Photographs, construction drawings, printed items and papers relating to Freeport Sulphur Co. and the town of Port Sulphur. Material documents various aspects of facilities and mining operations of the Freeport Sulphur Company, Louisiana. Most of the photographs depict the Grande Ecaille Mine, Grandeport, and Port Sulphur, Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana. Mss. 4059.
