Louisiana. Legislature, "To the honorable the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America, in Congress assembled. The memorial of the State of Louisia.," circa 1817. 1 item (13 pages). Location: Misc.:L, Vault:1. Galley proof, with manuscript revisions and additions, of the message of the Louisiana Legislature to the U.S. Congress, requesting that various land claims from territorial days by confirmed. These changes may have been made by Edward Livingston. The final version, which was communicated to the U.S. Senate on December 19, 1817, appears in the American State Papers, Vol. 30, Public lands, vol. 3, pages 282-285.
