The collection contains one enlarged copy print of a carte de visite of Middleton Plauche, valet to Tacitus Gailliard Calvit, a Bayou Rapides planter, prior to the Civil War; one copy print of a group of African Americans, some in uniform, standing outside a house with two white men standing on the porch; and one enlarged copy print of African American soldiers standing at parade rest near Port Hudson, La., 1864.
