Many of the epitaphs are undated, but those which are dated range from 1512 to 1836. Epitaphs were taken from graves in churchyards and cathedrals throughout the United Kingdom, including locations in Bath, Cambridge, Derbyshire, Devon, Essex, London, Surry, and the Isle of Wight. The vast majority of the epitaphs in the book are written in English, but there are several written in French or Latin.  Mss. 1350.
